With the 2011 weddings safely done and everyone happy we're cracking on with the function suite groundworks and the first job was to take down the old yew hedge, chainsaws well used and within 2 days the hedge is no more, next on the list are the huge conifers behind the car park, timber!!!!!

The latest update to our webiste has just gone live, the ability to look at each and every room to see which you would like to stay in the most!

By visiting the Accomodation page of our website allows you to select a drop down box by room type and see images and read information about the situation, aspects, facilities and any extra's that may be available to you. Further links to book the room or email the details to others are also on there and we hope this gives our potential guests even more reason to feel assured making a booking with us is the right thing to do.

One of the most important thing for the modernisation of our booking system was the ability for our guests to book online, directly through to us. We finally have developed the functionality to make that happen and have a 'Book Now' link on all pages of the website, our customers have asked, and again we have delivered! We are very proud to have been accepted by Elemis to qualify to offer their toiletries and amenities at the Hotel, reserved for 4 and 5 star hotels they have a very high standards to who they'll approve to stock their products so we take it as a large compliment that we're one of few in the area that offer these fanstastically fragranced, world renowned brands.

Today is one of the most important days in our businesses existence, we have after 18 months of negotiation and planning received approval for our purpose built function suite at the rear of the existing hotel. This means that by next April we will be able to offer our guests a 100 plus seater beautiful function space for weddings, meetings, conferences and dining events. We've attached a taster 3D image of the proposed extension, needless to say we are hugely excited by this great news and cannot wait to get the building up and running!!

The annual inspection on our re-furbished kitchen today realised yet another aspiration achievement for the hotel as we were awarded the maximum 5 stars by Newark and Sherwood District Councils Environmental Services Senior Officer.

We have worked closely with the Council to ensure all our hard work was directed in the right areas and this acknowledgement is greatfully received.

It means that all our bar and Kitchen Garden customers can come fully assured that the way in which all our food is brought in, stored, prepared and cooked meets the strictest guidelines and regulations.

The certificate will be taking pride of place shortly in the hotel, very well done all the Kelham House team for your hard work in achieving this important accolade.

We’re extremely proud to see our new site go live, after much technical wizardry, hard work and determination from our design agency Tribe (as well as them patiently waiting for us to provide the content!) we’re up and running. We want the site to be as informative as it can but to also exude the style and feel of our beautiful hotel, and the expectations were high, we’re just very happy that again those expectations have been exceeded! There’s still some additions to come to the site including our very own purpose built bookings facility, watch this space!!!
